 The Son of Suleyman Shah and Hayme Hatun. The base of Ottoman Empire. 

ERTUĞRUL GAZI

Suleyman Shah was the Chief of Kayi clan. Suleyman Shah Had 4 sons Gundogdu Bey, Sungurtekin Bey, Ertuğrul Bey and Dundar Bey. 

But Suleyman Shah chose Ertuğrul bey for next chief of kayi clan.

Ertugrul Bey decided to travel towards Byzantine border to get settled their to form Empire. Ertuğrul saved and helped those people who were tolerating Oppression of Byzantine army. 

Eruğrul married with Halime Sultan who was daughter of Noman Efendi. Noman Efendi was brother Of Sultan Allauddin of Seljuke Empire.

Halime Sultan was a beautiful and brave women. Many people think that Halime Sultan died while giving birth to Osman Gazi but it's not the truth halime Sultan died after the death of Ertuğrul Gazi.

Ertuğrul Gazi fought with Mongols, Byzantines, and Salebis. Ertuğrul Gazi was the Sardar e Ala of Seljuke Empire. He was talented and trustworthy Chief for Sultan Alauddin. 

Ertuğrul Gazi won Karachaysar Fort with his great companion Turgut, Bamsi, Doğan, Abdur rehman gazi, Artuk Bey etc.


Ertuğrul brothers didn't supported him when travelling to Byzantine border. Gundogdu and Sungurtekin  settled in anatolia and after that When Ertuğul send message to them to come towarda Byzantine Border to make the clan again powerful. They travelled towarda Ertuğrul. 

He has three sons. Gunduz bey, Savci bey, Osman bey. 

Ertugrul Gazi died at the age of 90 in 1280.
